How we work with Corporate Partners
The Bladder and Bowel Foundation (B&BF) was officially formed in June 2008 and launched in September 2008. However it is not an entirely new charity and has a history spanning almost 20 years as B&BF replaced Incontact (Action on Incontinence formed in 1989) and the Continence Foundation, which was established in 1992 and closed in May 2008 due to financial difficulties.
B&BF relies on working partnerships formed via its Corporate Partnership Programme to help continue its work. The success of the charity is dependant on the financial support of commercial organisations, with the vast majority of funding derived from companies involved in providing care for people with bladder and/or bowel control problems.
In order to ensure its independence, B&BF does not accept donations or funding of any kind that are dependent on policies set by others. The Board of Trustees only authorise the receipt of funding in circumstances where it is clear that to do so would not impinge on any of its activities, thereby ensuring complete independence to carry out its aims and objectives.
Our partners are companies and organisations of high standing and reputation, who are all committed to supporting our overall aims. Partnerships are based on shared interest, transparency, trust and mutual benefit. Corporate Partners do not represent B&BF, nor does any partnership imply B&BF's endorsement of an organisation, its products or services.
In agreeing to become a supporter of B&BF's Corporate Partnership Programme, an organisation is agreeing to abide by B&BF's Code of Practice (B&BF Policy on financial support by commercial organisations).
