Support Network

B&BF provides information and support to people affected by bladder and bowel control problems and has a growing network of local support activities.

  • A local support group - these are regular meetings held in the community that provide support and friendship –

    B&BF aims to develop its network of community activities and where possible we work in partnership with health professionals to increase awareness and feedback to health services. Local activities are open to people of any age, with all types of bladder and bowel control problems, their carers, relatives and friends.

Aims of a B&BF Group

  • Share experiences and similar concerns
  • Meet people, make new friends
  • Develop new ways of coping
  • Boost self-esteem and confidence
  • Access up-to-date information
  • Use your skills and learn new ones

Other local activities you may be interested in:-

  • A local telephone link – offering support in the local area.
  • Awareness activities – exhibition stand, acting as speaker.
  • Individual meetings – meetings/chats over coffee on a one-to-one basis.
  • Fundraising activity – raise funds and awareness.
  • Pen-Pal/epal activity – support through letters/emails.
  • Online Chat – hosted on the B&BF website.
  • Support Network Newsletter, B&BF Magazine –contributions
