Pathway to Success
Pathway to Success is a free step-by-step booklet that's been created to help men and women who are concerned that they may have a bladder problem.
The aim of the booklet is to accompany you from the start of your journey, helping you to identify and understand the problem, through to potential treatment, so that you can begin taking back control and to start getting better.
Your journey is divided into four steps within the booklet, and also contains detailed information on different bladder control problems, as well as lifestyle tips, advice on speaking to your doctor, a 'Setting Goals' table and 'Bladder Diary' to fill in yourself.
The Bladder Diary is yours to fill in so that you're able to keep track of your progress and be aware of any changes to your bladder habits. It's a good idea to take the Bladder Diary with you when you see your doctor, nurse, specialist continence nurse or other healthcare professional, as it will help them to see how the condition is affecting you, and also how well your treatment may be working. By filling in the bladder diary and taking it to your consultation, along with the Urgency Perception Scale, you can help your doctor to assess the impact your bladder problem is having on your life and the types of treatment that may be most beneficial.
