Bladder and Bowel Foundation

For free, confidential, continence management advice from one of our
trained continence nurses, please call our helpline on 0845 345 0165.

What callers to the Helpline have said, all within the last 3 months;

Thank you for helping me - and  say thank you to the helpline nurse as she was very helpful. And, thank you for the further information, it is really good to know that there is support when needed.  I hope to be able to see my GP tomorrow to see what options there are in this area and will take it from there.

“A huge big thank you wrapped up in a great big bow on it. The advice your nurse gave me  has made me looked into a bit more, and this information is ‘spot on’.  You don't know how grateful I am, as I have been struggling for ages

“Had a call from the B&BF Helpline nurse and I’m feeling much better after our lovely chat. Very helpful,”

“What excellent advice B&BF helpline nurse  gave me; it worked in 24 hrs”

The helpline is operated via an answer phone service and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can leave your message at any time and will need to include your name and a telephone number so one of the helpline nurses can call you back.  Calls are returned during office hours Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, however, you can request a call back at a specific time if this is helpful to you and if there is high demand we operate until 7pm in the evening and on Saturday mornings.

Our helpline staff can provide general medical advice and information relating to continence management however they cannot diagnose conditions.  For a diagnosis you will need to make an appointment to see your doctor, local continence nurse or health professional for a full assessment.
