B&BF's Facing Up to Incontinence Booklet Wins Award!
On the 10th July 2012, Judy Hobson the journalist who wrote the case stories for B&BF's Facing Up to Incontinence booklet, won the Medical Journalists' Association's award for Excellence in Journalistic Skills, it is the first time any such award has been made.  The presentation ceremony was held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London and attended by the likes of BMJ, Nursing Standards and many more prestigious names.
The MJA has over 400 members of the UK's leading medical and health journalists and exists to support and encourage its members and enable them to work efficiently and at high levels of accuracy.
The Facing Up to Incontinence booklet was sponsored by Medtronic in partnership with B&BF and gives real life accounts of people affected by bladder and or bowel problems.  B&BF would like to say thank you to all those who contributed to this booklet and for making it a success. Without their courage and willingness to share their stories this now recognised booklet might never have been published. We also extend our thanks to Judy Hobson for her work on the booklet and for spearheading the way forward to making the subject of incontinence more openly talked about.
