There are around 4 million men in the UK with some form of bladder problem and with an ageing, growing population this figure is sure to rise.
It is often thought that bladder problems only affect women, and whilst it is fair to say that problems are more common in women with over 9 million women in the UK affected, bladder problems can have a have a huge impact on the quality of life of both men and women.
Bladder problems in men can happen for a variety of reasons and can often be directly linked to prostate problems, neurological conditions like Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinsons and related cancers. Lifestyle can also
be a contributing factor as being overweight or diabetic can also increase the risk of developing problems.
